Backstory
Buffy Anne Summers was born on January 19th, to Hank and Joyce Summers, in Los Angeles, California, growing up with her cousin Celiia, whom she played Power Girl with. This friendship ended when they were eight years old, and Buffy witnessed a Der Kinstod demon murder Celia, while they were ill. This experience left the girl with a fear of hospitals. As she grew up, she started to idolizing the Olympic ice skater, Dorothy Hamill, practicing the sport herself. In fifth grade, she developed a crush on Billy Fordham, however, they had remained friends.
All I want to do is graduate from high school, go to Europe, marry Christian Slater, and die. Now it may not sound too great to a sconehead like you, but I think it's swell. And you come along and tell me I'm a member of the hairy mole club so you can *throw* things at me?
At the age of fifteen, she had started to attend Hemery High School, where she had been a total valley girl. That stopped when she started having dreams that she didn't understand, about girls, from different periods of history, slaying monsters. It had become clear to her when she met her first Watcher, Merrick. Initially, Watcher and Slayer butted heads, but slowly, they became foond of each other, until the vampire king, Lothos, had killed Merrick. Even though she had very little training, she managed to defeat the king at the school dance, but managed to burn down the gymnasium, which got her expelled. She and a friend decided to take a trip to Las Vegas, but returned to tell her parents about the gym, and how she was the Slayer. Her parents didn't believe her, choosing to admit Buffy to an insane asylum. Shortly after arriving, she decided not to perpetuate her slayer story, leading her to be released. She and her parents didn't speak of it again.
Her parents had divorced after many years of marital troubles; Buffy moving with her mother to a small town called Sunnydale, which unfortunately for Buffy, was on a Hellmouth, since she wanted a normal life. Telling this desire to the librarian as the high, and her new watcher, Rupert Giles; he quickly convinced her that fighting the supernatural evil was her destiny. Together, with her friends Alexander Harris and Willow Rosenberg, Buffy Summers fought whatever evil came to the hellmouth, and threatened her town.
One of the biggest events that defined her life, happened at the end of her sophomore year of high school. A prophecy and described that she would be lead by the Anointed One, and be killed by the Master, in order to release him. At first, this made her upset, wanting just to me a normal teenager, but then she accepted i. She met the Master, and after being bitten, she fell into water and drowned. Minutes after the Master left, her friends, Angel and Xander had found her and revived her. Together Buffy led the fight against the Master, and managed to kill him.
She had spent the summer in Los Angeles with her dad, where she hadn't slayed any vampires. She lavished on material items and remained emotionally distant with others. Her post traumatic stress disorder had become apparent when she returned to Sunnydale; taking her anger out on her slaying targets and being rude to her friends. Buffy recovered when she smashed the Master's bones, after his followers attempted to resurrect him.
At this time, Spike and Drusilla, a pair of vampires, had rolled into town and fought. Spike had hired the Order of Taraka to take out Buffy, but when Kendra the Vampire Slayer, she had realized that her 'death' had counted in activating the next slayer. This gave her the thoght that would let her off the hook for slayer duty, but it was pushed away.
